My fiance' and I met on the web in the summer.
We spent hours together on- line in chat rooms, in ICQ, exchanging e-mails. By August we were ready to meet face-to-face, in fact we were aching to meet face-to-face. I knew I loved her, and she loved me, but until you SEE someone, is it REALLY love?
We had to find out, and as luck would have it, my vacation narrowed the 1200 miles between us down to 200 or so, so I rented a car and drove down to meet her. We met in the parking lot of the motel I was staying at, and hugged and grinned like fools right off, then walked over to Jerry's for coffee, both of us SO nervous, and scared too, but scared like waiting in line for the rollercoaster, you know? We talked for an hour or so, drinking coffee and chainsmoking, staring at each other and grinning.
She finally suggested a ride around the area (since the waitress at Jerry's was obviously tired of filling our cups :รพ and I agreed, inviting her to accompany me back to the room for a minute while I grabbed my sunglasses. She sat in the chair as I rummaged around for them, and I knew I just HAD to kiss her.
I walked over to her, slowly. I grabbed her hand and helped her to her feet, gazed in her eyes and slowly bent down to kiss her so gently, so softly. I grazed my tongue along her bottom lip and suddenly this little kiss took on a life of it's own and she was KISSSING me back. We folded into one another's arms, the kiss deepening and turning into something I felt way down in my toes. I broke away and gazed deep into her magnificent green eyes, where I saw that she felt it too. What we had found on the internet was indeed real, and it was true and strong. It made me weak in the knees and fuzzy in the brain and I'll never ever forget that first kiss as long as I live. Oh, and we're getting married in the fall. And we still feel those kisses in our toes. I imagine we always will.
